Some Are Saying Toney vs. Couture Is Boxing vs. MMA. One Thing Is Certain: “The Natural” Wants To Shut Toney’s Mouth
The bright lights had been shut off, the room started to clear and everyone but about eight members of the media had left the UFC 116 post-fight press conference.
UFC president Dana White stepped down from the podium, walked around the front and slid onto the table, legs dangling over the side.
“I am always yapping about people who do freak shows, and I’m doing one,” he said.
That show is UFC 118. In the co-main event, former boxing champion James Toney will face former UFC champ Randy Couture.
With the reporters’ microphones running, White explained how Couture made it unequivocally clear he wanted that fight if the UFC signed Toney. Well, they signed him, Couture has got him and the show is Aug. 28.
More Acting on the Horizon
Filming “The Expendables” was a great experience and a lot of fun. It lasted 11 weeks, and the days were 12-14 hours.
