NEW YORK — Another win makes him 12-0, but will that be good enough for a title fight?
“I’ll leave that up to STRIKEFORCE,” said Billy Evangelista, who is scheduled to face Jorge Masvidal March 5 in Strikeforce action. “I’ve been competing with them for awhile, and I just want a shot at the title one day. That would be great if I could be considered a No. 1 contender.”
Evangelista said he’s unsure of what to expect from his opponent at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, but he’s ready for anything.
“I don’t really know what type of fighter Jorge is,” said Evangelista. “I know he’s very long and has a reach advantage. I’m just going to see how the fight goes along and see whichever way I need to take it.”
